Early this year the Blanton finally sent out an official press release describing their artist residencies that I have talked about before. A week later Seeing Things picks up on it.
In my book, the Blanton scored points for 1. conducting an international residency and 2. actually releasing that information. Unfortunately, they missed out on some additional points, as that information is nowhere to be found on their website. The partnering CRL on the other hand does. As the majority stakeholder in this program, the Blanton should broadcast that info on all of its channels of communication (i.e. its own website).
Accessibility? I don’t know how else to say this… Co-Lab, change your hours to a more audience friendly time (like Saturday!).
It seems that Mexic-Arte is not as mute as I thought them to be. I found them on both Twitter and Facebook. But I wouldn’t have called for better communication if they had links on their website to these supplementary channels.
(Notice how I quietly added my Twitter and Delicious feeds to the links on the right?) I’m willing to eat some crow.
I’ll tell you ’bout what I sees.
