But I can’t really say I’m awake.
First, some post-EAST thoughts. My planned run-through was cut short by delays at the car rental. With only an hour to spare (and that was pushing it), I only visited Bol.. I mean, Big Medium, SolArt and Okay Mountain Studios (I’m uploading photos to Flickr tonight).
Thanks to Jeanne Claire’s photo, I really wish I could have stopped by MASS for an update on Amanda Schoppel’s work. At the opening reception, it was just some sponges with seeds sprinkled on top.
Funny how Karri Paul’s recap illustrates how I navigate through Austin’s art scene. The level of engagement becomes deeper (easier?) the more familiar I am with the work (or the more burnt orange it becomes). hmm…
Not much to report from Dallas. I arrived at the reception midstream and didn’t even check out the concurrent exhibits in the hallway or outside. Someone managed to squeeze my thoughts from me and someone else asked if I was reviewing the show. But no, I was there to support the Austin team. I’d love to see my work published in ArtLies, but they intimidate me. I just don’t see my voice fitting in. If I can’t sell my story, you’ll read ’bout it here. (Flickr upload tonight)
All of my suggestions made it onto Tyler Green’s blogroll. Thanks to my blogcrush for nominating me.
UPDATE: Open Doors photos uploaded. More tonight and some reading material for Thanksgiving.
I’ll tell you ’bout what I sees.
